The striking feature of these 40 condos is their location: St. Paul’s beautiful 1923 Union Depot. The Union Depot is on the verge of re-emerging as a major transportation hub for the Twin Cities. Light rail service will link St. Paul and Minneapolis in 2014 (the work has already begun on the streets Downtown), and passenger rail trains will return to the station as well.

In June, 2009, Ramsey County purchased the depot headhouse for $8.2 million. The headhouse (entrance) to the Union Depot is neoclassical – with its 150-foot long colonnade, French doors, and inlaid ceilings and chandeliers in the Great Hall. The concourse leading to the trains (not yet open to the public) is one of the great architectural achievements in the city. The building was designed by Charles Frost, and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
