Rossmor Lofts have a nice, edgy tone and beautiful windows. This 1916 shoe factory was a popular loft conversion in 2003 and 2004, and it has won several design and preservation awards, including the Business Journal's 2003 Renovation of the Year award for its True Loft Condos. The lofts are stunning, with 18-foot ceilings, and the original concrete floors. The windows were replaced to appear like the original single panes -- and they span the entire exterior wall spaces -- giving the lofts abundant light. Some lofts have windows on three sides. When the city moves forward with Pedro Park on the facing block on Robert Street, many of the lofts will have beautiful park views.
